We’ll be readingย Radical Acceptance: Embracing Your Life with the Heart of a Buddhaย by Tara Brach, Ph.D.
I first listened to this book in June and am so excited to share it with you! I am looking forward to our discussions!
How this retreat works:
- Read the book ahead of time. Feel free to jot down any thoughts or feelings you have along the way. I tend to underline and put post-it notes all throughout, but you can do what works for you.
- We’ll gather together on Friday, January 31st, 2025 at Nine Mountain Retreat Center in Plainfield, MA to discuss this wonderful book. Interspersed between discussions we’ll practice yoga to move and stretch, practice meditation based on what we’re reading and discussing, and get some time outdoors (weather permitting) to walk in the woods and in the neighborhood.
- We’ll be eating delicious, homemade, locally sourced food created with love and intention. The chefs can accommodate any health or dietary restrictions, so if you have any, please let me know so I can pass it along.
This is a wonderful weekend with kind and thoughtful people and I would love for you to be there!
A taste of what to expect:
- Daily all levels yoga practices to move and stretch, both before and after sitting
- Daily meditation practices to ground and practice what we discuss
- 2-3 daily book discussions to explore and reflect on the concepts in the book and how you might apply them to your life
- Delicious, healthy, locally sourced food made with love
- Comfortable lodging to support your body and mind
- Walking outside (weather permitting)
- Down time to reflect, relax, and rest
- A warm, welcoming community of people interested in growth, connection, and compassion to understand themselves
